Words of Greeting: II Corinthians 9:6-8
One: Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.
All: Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
One: And God is able to make all grace abound to you,
All: So that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

I put  lot of things before God. There are consequences to this kind of behavior.  I spend less time in worship, less time in Bible Study, more time trying to work on my problems with my limited strength... the list of consequences  goes on... like  downward spiral.  One other very real consequence to putting things before God is worry... think about it.
Unison Prayer of Confession: Matthew 6:25-34
One: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
All: But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
(Silent Prayer and Reflection)
Assurance of Pardon: Romans 10:11-13
One: As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."  For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile--the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."  Friends, believe the good news of the Gospel!
All: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.
